U17s British Schools Championships |

This was our first-ever expedition to a national event, so we had no real idea either what the event would be like, or how we well we would cope with it. But as it turned out, there were some real highlights. Merlin achieved an incredible 5-2 win over the Nationally-ranked Lewis Chung from Kings School Worcester. And Ben only lost one fight all day (against Lewis Chung). Probably the most exciting match of the day was against Tonbridge School, during which Ray had an epic 10-8 struggle against Tom Warrener. But ultimately it was Tonbridge who achieved a 45-36 victory over us, and went through to the quarter-final. A great day for our first real competition. |
